India for Christ International Director Rev Paul Henderson Box 486 Smiths Falls, On, K7A 4T4 Building Churches - Supporting Pastors November News Letter 2010 Greetings in the most holy name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. India has experienced a Hurricane which lasted several days. Pastor Rakshana had phoned and asked for prayer as their church had three days of fasting and prayer concerning the hurricane and the people who have suffered as a result of flooding. The hurricane has ended by the grace of our Lord but the fields are still immersed in flood water. Four districts were effected by the flood water, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur Districts. Please pray that the rice fields will be protected from the flood water and the fields that are immersed will recover from the effects of the water. The India for Christ Compound wall requires some repairs. As a result of the hurricane the wall was broken and bent by the force of the rain water. The cost of removing and replacing the wall is approximately five thousand Canadian dollars. Twenty believers were recently Baptized. Each of these believers received much training prior to being baptized. In India being baptized can result in persecution and being rejected by your family. Some sects believe they have the right to kill those who are baptized within thirty days of their baptism. The training believers receive before baptism helps prepare them and gives them strength. It is a challenge to grow new churches in the midst of all the crisis. As always Pastor Rakshana and the church in India continue to fast and pray for all contributors of India for Christ. Please remember India for Christ in your daily prayers. Christmas Blessings to all, India for Christ |
